UK Fishing: is it possible to fly fish for pike on a canal?
I have never seen anyone do it, however you can catch a pike with a pike fly/lure, and canals are commonly populated with pike so it got me thinking, and if it is possible then I would love to give it a go.

Whether or not Palin looks good in fly fishing gear or has nursed children has nothing to do with her readiness to lead this country. Yet McCain thinks she's ready to step into the role if necessary. Conservative pundits who've been blasting Obama for his lack of experience (ignoring his seven years in the Illinois state senate representing Chicago and his twelve years teaching Constitutional law) are now hypocritically falling over themselves to say that yes, she is ready.
Based on what? Her politics: she's anti-Choice, pro-guns and pro-drilling in protected wildlife areas. She was also for that bridge to nowhere before she was against it, oops. She's also for using tax dollars to shoot wolves from helicopters in her home state.
She may be a mother, but is she going to help other struggling mothers get their children insured? Is she going to keep the children of other mothers from being sent to die in pointless wars? Is she going to be able to stand up to the wealthy elite and ask that they pay their share, or is it going to be the ordinary moms and dads who pay the price for Republican deficit spending?
