Striped Bass Fishing Rig: Which Is The Best?
Striped Bass Fishing Striped Bass Fishing Rig

One of the most important pieces of equipment that you are going to need to buy for your striped bass fishing adventures is a striped bass fishing rig. The striped bass fishing rig is the part that goes on the end of the fishing rod, which you hook the bait onto. There are quite a few different types of freshwater striped bass fishing rigs to choose from, and which you are sure to have success with.
You just have to make sure that you are going to choose the right striped bass fishing rig for the particular environment and time that you are going to be fishing.
Types of Rigs
So if you are looking to get a striped bass fishing rig, of course you are going to have to learn a bit about each of the different types before you are going to be able to determine which is going to be best for you.
There is the bottom rig for one, which is one of the most basic and commonly used rigs for striped bass fishing. The bottom rig is a sinker tied on to the main line followed by a swivel, leader, and a hook. Remember that you need to make the weight heavy enough to keep your bait on the bottom, hence the name bottom rig.
Then there is the floater bait rig which is also very commonly used. This floating bait rig has a floating bait that will sit half on top of the water and is great for catching fish that tend to stay near the surface of the water. If you are in very shallow waters for instance this rig would be the most sensible to use, and will offer you the most success of catching fish in those waters.
Make sure that you take a look at all the other striped bass fishing rig options as well before making any final decisions. Regardless, it is going to be wise that you keep a few varieties of fishing rig in your bait box at all times. This way no matter where you are fishing, what time of day it is, and what the water is like, you will have an appropriate rig to use.
At least it is reassuring to know that there are lots of great options out there, rigs and other bass fishing bait and equipment that you can choose from and buy for yourself.
Best way to catch striped bass with minnows?
I'm going fishing at lake lake norman in n.c. this weekend. i'm used to only fishing plastic worms and crank baits so i don't know the best way to rig or present a live minnow. I'll be fishing the mcguire nuclear plant from the shore. any info on how to present a live minnow would be awesome.
Well, here in SoCal on Lake Castaic, live shad on a float rig or fly lined seem to work best. When they're chasing trout after a CDFG planting, big trout-impersonating swimbaits do the trick also.
You can try a slip sinker rig (Carolina rig pretty much), but you'll run the risk of getting the minner tangled up in your main line while it's swimmin' around doin' what its supposed to be doin'. Flylined or slip float would PROBABLY be your best bet.

The deep means below the surface of the water like all the way down.
It boils down to the DOCTRINE you hold to as to how a translator chooses the wording. As you pointed out in the multiple translations that DON'T use "Spirit of God", but refers to a power or force, it was the choice each translator.
So, back in 1988 there was a study on the position Jesus as God's Son. As the copied paragraphs highlight that the so-called "Third One" in the Trinity was not, has never been a "person".
18 What about the supposed third person of the Trinity, the holy spirit, said to be equal in power, substance, and eternity to Father and Son? Nowhere in the Bible is the holy spirit mentioned with God and Christ as being equal to them. For instance, on the occasion of Jesus’ baptism, Mark 1:10 shows that the holy spirit came down upon Jesus “like a dove,” not in a human form. The holy spirit was not some person coming upon Jesus but was God’s active force. That power from God enabled Jesus to heal the sick and resurrect the dead. As Luke 5:17 says in the Diaglott: “The Mighty Power of the Lord [God] was on him [Jesus] to cure.” Later, at Pentecost, the apostles also were given the power from God to heal the sick and raise the dead. Did that make them part of some “godhead”? No, they were simply given power from God, through Christ, to do what humans ordinarily could not do.
19 That same active force is mentioned at Ephesians 5:18, where Paul counsels: “Keep getting filled with spirit.” Similarly, Acts 7:55 says that Stephen was “full of holy spirit.” And at Pentecost, the followers of Jesus “all became filled with holy spirit.” (Acts 2:4) Can a human get filled with another person? No, but he can get filled with the power that comes from God. That holy spirit is the same force that God used to create the universe. As Genesis 1:2 says: “God’s active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters.”
20 After Jesus was resurrected, Stephen had a vision of heaven and “caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand.” (Acts 7:55) Thus, two separate persons were in evidence in heaven: (1) God and (2) the resurrected Jesus Christ. No holy spirit is mentioned in this vision because it was not any third person of a Trinity. The holy spirit, being God’s active force, would proceed from God but not as a separate being. That is why Stephen saw only two persons, not three.
21 Regarding the holy spirit, the New Catholic Encyclopedia admits: “The O[ld] T[estament] clearly does not envisage God’s spirit as a person, neither in the strictly philosophical sense, nor in the Semitic sense. God’s spirit is simply God’s power. If it is sometimes represented as being distinct from God, it is because the breath of Yahweh acts exteriorly.” It also states: “The majority of N[ew] T[estament] texts reveal God’s spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God.”
22 In view of all these facts, this “fundamental” Trinity doctrine of Christendom cannot be true. God’s own Word refutes that claim. It shows clearly that Jehovah God is the loving Father and that Jesus Christ is his beloved Son, a Son who had such love for his Father that he was willing to be obedient to the death. However, some contend that there are scriptures that seem to indicate support for the Trinity, so in our next article, we will examine some of them. Also, we will discuss why this doctrine has become such an important part of Christendom and where it originated.
When I rode Space Mountain, I didn't mind the dark, the speed, or the drops, but I didn't like the shaking. I was so eager to get off that I left my cap behind — a nice Martha's Vineyard striped bass fishing derby cap from a flea market. You can see my priorities if I remember the cap as well as Space Mountain.
