You can browse through a bass fishing lure selection entirely online and even make your order and have it delivered right to your front door.

If you are going to be going online to look for a bass fishing lure selection, there are a few online stores that are really going to be worth your time to check out.

I love fishing and I plan to start flyfishing can I have some help getting started?

I plan to start fly fishing so I am going to have to buy a reel, a rod, and flies, and besides in flea markets where would be the best store to buy a new reel and rod. I looked at bass pros and found a beginners set that was a really good price and I wanted to know if it would work well. I figure it would but I would just like to make sure. Also flies can be very expensive, even more than regular lures. I live in Lapeer MI and I wanted to know if there was any good little fishing shops near here that carry a good selection of flies such as swimming frogs, deer haired mouses and poppers.

Picture taking up flyfishing is like some people taking up the guitar... some people buy one and then it stays in the closet forever because they don't have the patience. It would be a shame if you splurged on a nice rod and reel before you got into it fully. I suggest going to a department store and buying a crappy 26 dollar package set (rod, reel, line) and giving it a whirl, this way if you don't like it you only spent as much as a few lures cost (which you lose anyways on all the big fish right?) so no problem. If you like it, then go out and work your way up to a super nice rod.

Other reasons beginners shouldn't have a new rod:

not knowing how to get a fly out of a tree properly and breaking your pole.

getting your line snagged on something behind you (without you knowing it) and breaking your pole.

not knowing how to carry your rod through the trees and breaking your pole

not storing it properly in the boat, or car, or house, stepping on it, closing it in doors, etc. and breaking your pole.

I have done all of these and more at least once to a fly rod. Luckily all of them were about 40-50 dollars. Now I have a super nice not-going-to-break-this-or-I'l
go-ape-$hit- cost-me-hundreds-of-dollars Fly Rod and it is a beautiful thing

might I suggest muddler minnows and a few poppers to begin with? These are also cheap (you'll lose a few in the trees) and work famously with fish. Good luck
